Fitness Classes are held on the 2nd floor in the Windber Community Building. 


Cycling classes are held in the Cycling Room on the 1st floor of the Windber Community Building.

Meet the Instructors

POUND: Rockout Workout with Emily

Hello, my name is Emily Metzgar! I am a certified POUND Pro, and have been teaching POUND classes for a little over a year. POUND is a full body cardio workout inspired by playing the drums. This class is not only an excellent physical workout, but also a great way to relieve stress. The infectious music and catchy beats will allow yourself to get lost in the music and forget you are even exercising! I have lived in Johnstown all of my life, and I am so excited I am able to share this class with people in the area. A little more about myself is I am recently engaged, and I will be getting married in December of this year. I can’t wait to ROCKOUT and WORKOUT with you all soon!

Total Body Floor BARRE with Claire 
Claire is so excited to be joining the Windber CB Fitness team! She teaches many different types of fitness classes, but her favorite is indoor cycling. "It is so upbeat and fun. The classes are a fantastic way to get some cardio in your day and really make an impact on your mental and physical health." Claire spends her free time exploring our beautiful area with her husband and enjoying outdoor activities. She also loves to travel, paint, cook, volunteer in our community, and spend time with her friends, family, and 3 animals. She graduated from UPJ in 2016 with degrees in Marketing and Spanish and is the Marketing Coordinator for local technology, software development, and e-Learning company, Problem Solutions. 

This BARRE class is a NO impact, full body barre workout for all levels! Use ballet, yoga, and pilates techniques to tone, lengthen, and strengthen your whole body all while staying on your mat!

Kickin' It with Carly
Hi! I'm Carly! I grew up in the Derry/Latrobe area of Pennsylvania and now live in Johnstown, PA with my husband and three children. She is a certified personal trainer with a certificate in nutrition from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I've always enjoyed sports and dance. I've trained as a gymnast, dancer, and in Tae-Kwon-Do before discovering my love for kickboxing. I've trained in kickboxing for the last two years with notable fighters such as professional kickboxer, Alex Beck and Tae-Kwon-Do expert/3rd degree blackbelt, Jonathon Coffman. And I continue to invest into my own training and growth on a weekly basis with professional Muay Thai fighters, Brad Mountain and Daniel Yarnia. My purpose is to build empowering relationships with women that desire a change. I want to inspire women to take an inside-out approach to living life to their fullest potential, and to fight their way through the obstacles holding them back from their goals.

YOGA SCULPT with Kaylee

 
Hi everyone! My name is Kaylee Davis and I graduated from Conemaugh Township in 2018. I am currently a student at UPJ studying Math Education. I found my passion for fitness after dancing for 8 years and wanting to stay active and healthy. Being a college student it is important to find a way to relieve stress and be active especially during stressful times. I am a certified yoga instructor and am excited to start teaching cycle classes as well! Come have fun and improve your overall health with me!

Yoga Sculpt with Kaylee is an upbeat 45 minute yoga class for all levels. In this class music will be utilized to connect breath to movement in order to create a relaxing experience. Destress, sculpt and stretch larger muscles after a long day while flowing through different movements to increase confidence, strength and flexibility.

Hi everyone! My name is Alexis Lohr and I’m a Johnstown native, I graduated from Conemaugh Township high school in 2014. I’m currently finishing my degree at Duquesne University and will graduate this May with my Doctorate of Pharmacy! It wasn’t until a little over 2 years ago that I truly found my passion for fitness. As a future healthcare professional, I want to help others reach their fitness goals through indoor cycling and be a role model to my patients. Let me help you improve your physical and mental health with a great cardio workout!

Lisa has been teaching cycling at the Windber Community Building for the past 5 years. She is very passionate about cycling and fitness in general. Reach out to her for all health and wellness needs!

Zumba Fitness with Steph



I’m Stephanie and I have been teaching Zumba for 5 years. My Zumba class incorporates dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance. I use a mix of Latin dance styles but also include Hip Hop and Pop music into the choreography. My class is for any fitness level and I consider it an upbeat, calorie torching dance party.

SUNRISE CYCLE with Claire

RAPID FIT with Logan

My name is Logan Paxton. am a 2016 graduate from Somerset high school. I Completed my Personal training certification through ISSA In the spring of 2020 following a 5 year passion for personal fitness and weightlifting. I realized with hard work and dedication you can achieve your fitness goals and the body you desire. There is true satisfaction when seeing the results of your dedication. 

 

I would like to share my knowledge and years of experience to help others achieve similar goals.I have also found that weight lifting and physical fitness have contributed to a positive mental attitude awell a phenomenal stress and anxiety reliever. During extremely stressful times I have found that working out has helped immensely by releasing natural chemicals in my brain and giving me a feeling of peace and solitude.


This high intensity interval training class contains three circuits with four stations each along with a session of Cycling. Each station is designed specifically to target a different group of muscles, leaving you with a complete workout at the end. All fitness levels are welcome!
